The Stiefel Theatre for the Performing Arts in downtown Salina announces The Cult live in concert.
This performance will take place on Sunday, March 20th at 8 p.m. Tickets go on sale for this event this Friday, January 15th at 9 a.m.
The Cult recently announced their “Alive in the Hidden City” U.S. tour dates, including a Salina stop. The live shows will coincide with the release of their newest CD “Hidden City” in stores February 5th. It is The Cult’s first album in three years and their 10th studio album. “Hidden City” is a brutal and beautiful masterpiece and is the third and final part of their critically acclaimed trilogy that began with 2007’s “Born Into This” and was followed by 2012’s “Choice of Weapon.”
One of the UK’s premiere post punk bands, The Cult ascended the ranks of the indie music world to achieve global status selling millions of albums and touring around the world for decades. The Cult’s 2014 performance at Coachella was hailed by Rolling Stone as “the Messianic moment of Coachella 2014.”
The Cult includes vocalist Ian Astbury, guitarist Billy Duffy, drummer John Tempesta, bassist Grant Fitzpatrick, and Damon Fox on keyboards and rhythm guitar.
Tickets for this performance start at $49 and will be available at the theatre box office at 151 S. Santa Fe, by phone at 785-827-1998, or online at StiefelTheatre.org.
